excelllent food, not much atmosphere but you go there for food. My wife's favorite Mexican food in Rockland County, NY
Food was ok. Guacamole very good. We had steak and chicken fajitas. Atmosphere nice. Fruit fly infestation though, gross.
I hit this place once a month or so and I have never been disapointed. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the serivce is attentive.
We first visited Hacienda de Don Manuel three years ago. As per our previous review, the food was excellent and the overall experience was marred only by incommunicative and inattentive service, which we were willing to impute to linguistic and cultural barriers. This is the fourth Mexican restaurant I've visited in Suffern, and as of right now, the best of the four. The service was, as others have mentioned, "laid back", but if you are not in a rush it is perfect. We shared two appetizers, guacamole (made at table side) and ceviche. Both top notch. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I've enjoyed every entree that I've tried. Margaritas are great (skip the white sangria). Must note - my husband can't stand cilantro, and their salsa has it. (I love cilantro!)
I'll say it before and I'll say it again and again...I LOVE this place, have been coming here for years! Their margaritas are kickin' (get the Cadillac), the guacamole is made to order, served with fresh, warm chips. I've had so many "favorite" dishes here, right now it's the chicken chile relleno, it just bursts with flavor! Shrimp quesadillas come... More
I have been frequenting this restaurant since it was a whole in the wall place maybe 12 years ago. They moved the restaurant to a bigger location which is really charming. The owner is family oriented and worked hard to make this business a success. The restaurant is decorated nicely. The food is very reasonable in price about 10 dollars... More
I am not sure i am drinking the five star cool aid on this one.... This place serves solid average Mexican on any given night. Similar to taste and feel of Mexican you used to be served at the fiesta places before they went down the toilet. This is not fine dining and nothing makes it on the menu that... More
