A favorite of my husband and me, we like to go on Sunday afternoons and visit with all the locals. James is doing a wonderful job, taking over the restaurant and bringing in a new chef with fresh and interesting takes on the old stand-bys. Know for their yummy scrod, my new favorite is the fried green tomato sandwich, a... More

We had been at Anyela's winery and decided to complete the evening with dinner at Mandana Inn. We were greeted at the door by the owner and he seated us immediately. Our orders were taken ASAP. Food was delicious. We selected a scallop dinner and an entree salad with beets and peaches. The salad was unusual but was a real... More

We had eaten at this restaurant about 15 years ago and found it to be okay but nothing that you would rush back to. Now under new ownership, we decided to try it again. What a wonderful surprise! For those who liked the old menu, specializing in steaks and seafood, many of the old favorites are still there. Added in,... More

I got married in Skaneateles in July and James from the Mandana catered the reception outdoors in my grandparents garden. It was a wonderful experience, James and his staff did an exquisite job! The food was wonderful to say the least. We custom made our menu with a Spanish influence. James was very open to our suggestions of seafood paella... More

Our hotel had this place on a list of local restaurants. We arrived on a Thursday evening without reservations to a very crowded restaurant. The hostess offered us a table in the bar area with was just fine and we were seated immediately. A lot of 'regulars' seemed to be in this area also. It is a quaint, quirky place.... More

My husband & I were in Skaneateles for a long weekend & asked the "locals" where to dine. The Mandana Inn came highly recommended. When we arrived I was a bit skeptical - the decor is from the early 1970s I would guess. We did not have a reservation and were told a 45 minute wait. We were seated after... More

the menu was quite interesting and the quality of the food was excellent. the mandana was always a friendly but tired place. almost like a country "cheers." the new owner has figured a lot of things out and moved forward with creative offerings and a (now) comfortable environment thanks to new a/c etc. i think it was built over 200... One of the worst dining experiences ever. The quality of the food and cleanliness both are both 'lacking'. There were a large # of flies by our table -- small fruit files and also larger flies. There were even more flies in the men's room. The breaded scallops were overbreaded -- overcooked on the outside not cooked on the inside.... More

The food was good, but we were told while there were several empty tables the hostess was told not to seat people because the kitchen was too bacled up. When we were finally seated it was right next to the restrooms and there were many other empty tables that remained empty in a far better location.

Love receiving the relish tray and bread, delicious wines we had not tried before. My mother said the salad was the best she ever had and my boyfriend had the famous scrod and said it was delicious. My chicken was tender and the rhubarb cobbler was a wonderful end to the meal!
