Was advised to stop in to this place in the morning for coffee and great bagels. Was glad we did. They make a great onion bagel. The best I have had in years. I do not drink coffee but my companion was very impressed. The man and woman behind the counter were very friendly. Cool, funky atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Looking for your favorite local coffee shop while traveling? Uncommon Grounds is that coffee shop. It is a large panelled living room with comfortable stuffed chairs as well as tables with chairs. The coffee is excellent. The bagels are huge! The locals obviously make this part of their day whether treating their young child to a muffin or retired folks... More

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but with the many choices and comfortable atmosphere, this is a must for a cup of coffee and a relaxing break during a busy day of sightseeing.

light eats, couches, good coffee and tea drinks. Can get very crowded and noisy, and some folks stay for hours. Best people watching.

Sometimes its too overwhelming but the coffee is great and the bagels are the best in the area. Especially the pesto.

this is a REAL coffee house, not a chain where you are condemned if you have no clue what a grande is. friendly staff, great coffee, food, service and atmosphere. And you actuuallyleavet there with few dollars in your wallet.

Thought this could be a cool place to meet friends but it is very crowded and needs a different set up. Did not find the coffee or food a standout to compensate. Service was fine.

For morning coffee or tea, bagels, and a place to unwind, it doesn't get any better than this. Uncommon (as the locals call it) is a great spot all day long. The beverages and desserts are good. The bagels sandwiches are fantastic. If you're in the mood, try the bagel BLT. Super! It can be really busy, especially during the... More

I am in the area somewhat frequently to visit a local college. Most of the bagels in some areas of upstate NY are rolls cut in a circle but this place has real bagels in some nice flavors, good crust with a good selection of toppings. The coffee is great, even the decaf and the pastries I have had there... More
