Description: Situated in the heart of beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs, Chianti Il Ristorante serves sophisticated, authentic Northern Italian fare in an elegant setting. Combining seasonal food, an award-winning wine selection, a welcoming and knowledgeable staff and a detailed, inviting ambiance Chianti provides every guest with a superb and unforgettable dining experience. Aesthetically inspiring, its rustic walls, hard wood floors and green onyx bar invoke the authenticity of conventional Italian architecture while remaining slightly modern. The culinary philosophy at Chianti is based on a respect for tradition. With artisan breads and pastas, housemade sausage and braised meats it is culinary craftsmanship at its best. Our guests have the chance to savor fresh food, from a selection of expertly-sliced carpaccio, to a variety of wild fish, to risotto that is made only with Vialone Nano rice grown exclusively in Italy's Venetto region. "The hottest restaurant in town." The New York Times

This place is OK ... the staff is great the happy hour is good but skimpy... like silly skimpy, but the staff makes it worth coming back once in a while. Not my first choice but an easy one if you want to sit at the bar and have a little snack and some entertaining chit chat.

We were in Saratoga Springs for one night. The owner of the local kitchen store recommended Chianti (among others) and it was fantastic! We went on Mother's Day evening when it was busy but the service was great. Wonderful meals for both of us. Restaurant management needs to know, in particular, what a gem they have in Kim, our waitress.... More

Great atmosphere. Loud and vibrant - if you're expecting a quiet evening, not the place to go. Good happy hour specials. Interesting menu, from wood-fired pizzas to intricate entrees.

I gave this place an overall rating of "average" -- but it was not. First, there is an overall attitude and the customer service is terrible. We were told that we would be seated in a few minutes and asked to wait at the bar. Small bar, not good service there either. Our drinks were rushed and poorly made --... More

The only thing good I found was the ambiance. The food was average at best and over priced and the chairs made my butt sore. I grew up where I could get real Italian food at a fair price, To me this place is all hype.

My boyfriend and I have gone here for special occasions in the past, and there has never been a complaint out of us. For a lot of people our age it can be pricey, but it's worth every penny. The drinks are delicious, the meals filling and tasty, and the service is always so kind. Desert is a fantastic follow-up!

Food was memorable especially the salads. Entree special slightly overpriced but very good- swordfish. Service was confused but apologetic. Missing just a few elements to be outstanding.

I went here for the first time on a trip to Saratoga. It came highly recommended by both friends from the area and the hotel staff who said that it was the best of Saratoga. Compared to NYC and for the quality I thought it was very reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was great and so was the service. Beautiful... More

The menu is typical of a real Italian restaurant featuring very good Italian cuisine. The selections for each section of the menu are well balanced , offering a wide enough choice to satisfy every taste. The wine list is good but their house wines are solid and a good buy. Their pastas are perfectly al dente and the flavors were... More
