This used to be the best sushi restaurant and we have enjoyed going there many times but this Tuesday we went again with my grandson and we were all very disappointed. The sushi was not nearly as good as it has been in the past.

But the wait is long. They don't take reservations. Definately not for a romantic meal. The hustle and bustle of this small place is worth putting up with for the quality of the sushi.

Kotabuki is by far the best sushi restaurant on Long Island... Easily competes, if not better than NYC restaurants... food is priced reasonably

I went to Kotobuki after it first opened and I recently returned for lunch. Service was ok, but my three sushi rolls took 40 minutes to arrive (granted, there was some tempura involved, so I guess they had to fire up the frying pan). The food was ok, but uninspiring. Overall, I was expecting much better.
