Good food at reasonable prices. The pizza is the probably the best bang for your buck. Great place to grab a bite before the movie.
Came here last year for a Christening Party and always wanted to come back to try their regular menu. Had a very good Eggplant Parmigana and they gave me a nice dish of escarole with olive oil and garlic in place of pasta. It was worth the trip back here and would recommend this restaurant if you are in the... More
We recently dined here to celebrate a major birthday. Very over-priced pizza parlor menu. Yes the pizza might be good, but none of the over-priced entrees are. I ordered eggplant parmesan, and it was horrid. The eggplant was sliced so thin it tasted like fried bread crumbs. How can you mess this up? My guests ordered beer from the tap,... More
In early July, my wife and I visited friends in Rockville Centre Long Island. We went to a local Italian restaurant which at first looked little more than a pizzeria, but once inside we were happy to find it was a full menu type old fashioned Italian Restaurant. It is a transplant from a Manhattan location some years ago. The... More
My colleague from Long Island took me here one night for dinner when I was in town recently on business. The pizza was so good that I came back by myself the last night I was there for another pizza. Very possibly the best pizza I have ever had. Definitely would go back again if in town again.
I met a friend for lunch last week here for a pizza and beer. The beer was cold (but no light beer on tap.). We ordered a large pizza pie. It was not sloppy meaning the cheese was not dripping off it nor was it smothered in sauce. It had the right blend if delicious red sauce and good quality... More
I ordered from Blue Moon twice, both times with disappointing results. On the first occasion, I ordered a pizza for takeout and asked them to have it ready at a certain time (wasn't sure how long it would take to make it so I called with a good sized heads-up). By the time I picked it up (exactly when I... More
I liked the idea of a family italian pizza and my wife and I were not overly disappointed, my wife had a regular pizza and I had a calzone with cheese and a tomato sauce, I'm sorry to say this was really a little over-seasoned to our taste and all the portions were somewhat too generous for our liking, hence... I left this restaurant about an hour ago and always prefer to give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt but to say that I'm uncomfortable is an understatement. Food sensitivity is serious. Avoid this restaurant if you have any dietary restrictions. Get me back to my home - Manhattan - where I can eat without discomfort.
We go there a lot, because it's decent family Italian at a moderate price. (The larger room to the left of entry gets extremely noisy.) The serving sizes are noticeably smaller & more expensive over the past 2 years... I'd say that's been a turn off... but compared to the price of 2 dinners at Max's or Dodice's that are... More
