Stopped here after a 7 hour drive to Rochester. We went last night for dinner with friends and had a FABULOUS time. The atmosphere was so nice. The service was outstanding and the food was great. I don't remember when we've had such a fun dinner. Can't wait to go back! More

Excellent service from Kevin, excellent food (prime rib, Veal French), excellent drinks, excellent everything. As stated earlier the decor is a little dated, but I don't go to look around, I'm there to eat and this place has great food. The staff is always friendly and if it's not too busy you get to chat with the manager too. More

We ate at Grinell's once years ago and thought it was stuffy and dowdy. But we've have gone back on quiet weeknights and had excellent steaks and seafood, good cocktails and prices better than other steakhouses in Rochester. It has a bit of an old-time atmosphere (valet parking, maitre d' at the door)...but there are worse things than a restuarant... More
