Best food we ate during our visit - a cut above the average Greek food - with excellent service, ambience and views of the Caldera.
Apiron is situated near the top of the donkey station road and has a great sea view. This is a friendly and classy restaurant. We felt relaxed and pampered at the same time. You simply can’t fail to be impressed by the quality of the food and service.
This restaurant is very well located, on the caldera but beware that there is a lots of stairs! The view is stunning, the food is good and as per previous reviews a bit pricey..We shared an entree of mussels to start, they were quite big and delicious, our friends shared an entree - shrimp roll but there was actually just... In a tucked away position , out if the brisk Santorini wind . Perfect view of the sunset. Cleanest spot in Santorini . Food is not far off Michelin star quality !
The setting is minimalist. If you want the caldera view you should reserve in advance the 4 or 5 edge tables to be sure. The menu is refreshingly concise. The price range is above average but the overall setting is very pleasant. The food is better than average with a more continental presentation. The staff are very professional providing excellent... This is beyond the normal taverna fare and the prices reflect that but on the basis of value for money compared to some of the high priced average taverna food this was supremely good. It is run by a husband and wife team who were absolutely charming and were kind enough at the end of our meal to help us... More
We visited this restaurant on Monday 30th, the last night of our Santorini/Thira Holiday and Im so glad that it wasnt' the first night because we would have been so disappointed with all the other restaurants that we visited. Everything is just perfect, the view's of the Caldera, the service and the food. It wasn't the cheapest but it was... More
It is the curse of being number one in here. Expectations become very high. The food was good, but not excactly great. The restaurant is a great place for sunset watching. The best food we had was the goat as a main course. Staff was friendly and attentive.
We had dinner at Apiron twice during our 8 days stay, and we wanted to go again but were invited somewhere else. Everything is just perfect at Apiron...cooking, service, view...everything. The staff is quite professional and very kind. The cooking is amazing and everything is special and unique...We enjoyed everything
Hubby and I had beef souvlaki which was so tender it could have been fillet. Gave us little crispy biscuits with tapenade and a delicious fennel dip. Yum yum. Pricey but worth it. Will go again
