Amazing. My Crewmember and I found ourselves in CV for a few days staying in Santa Maria. We were looking for a place w/outside dining where we could just relax w/out hassle and enjoy a hearty meal. We saw Bombay, and had to check it out as it was different. (the island is filled w/ Italian food, and that's it)... More

This family run restaurant is just amazing. My GF, who has lived in India, says this was the best Indian food she has had outside of India. Plus they were really helpfull to make us a take-away lunch for the plane ride home! Thank you! More

Went to this restaurant twice. The first time it was ok. The second time is was not. Like most of the restaurants in Sal they are not consistant. I asked for a gin & tonic ? 'Sorry we don't have any tonic'. If this restaurant was in the UK, I would give it 1 star. More

We do apololgize for our shortage of tonic. These things happen in Sal, we do run out of stock sometimes, specially with the Christmas rush. We do hope you enjoyed your meal. More

Have been going to Sal over the last 4 years whilst buying a property off plan,(now complete), and discovered The Bombay on an early trip.. The owners are very friendly and their take on traditional dishes, given the island's fish bias, is excellent. Try the fish samosas! Was panic stricken when there was no sign of the restaurant in its... More

Try it once, and you'll be sure to go back again for more! Hats off to the chef! The food is lovely, with an extensive menu of different tastes! New location, although off the main street is truly a hidden gem in Sal! More

I was pleasantly surprised during my last trip to Sal. The food was authentic Indian, with both North & South Indian dishes. The mutton "karai" was delicious. The "Ran" (lamb leg) tandoor grilled was out of this world. A cosy ambience both in the lounge and outside terrace. The owners were very warm. If you are fond of Indian cuisine... More

This restaurant offered a good alternative cuisine to that offered in the Island, and the patrons in charge complemented with a service to match and make you feel like coming back (which we did). Nothing to envy from Indian food anywhere in Europe. More
