We were glad we took the short trip off of Interstate 87 to drive into New Paltz. Our experience at Barnaby's was very good. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We recieved complimentary Bloody Marys and Mamosas with our meals. Our waitress, Laura, was very pleasant and took care of all of our needs. She is an... More

Looks good, but food is bland, often overcooked. Not much to like accept wide variety on menu. Decor attractive. Food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. More

At the bar one night at Barnabys, I was served rail vodka when asking for call vodka. The bartender was indifferent. Upon receiving the bill, I found I was billed for one wrong item, and one item never received. Outside of these errors, the DRY martini wasn't. The apps were standard Chilis fare, and the prices were middle of the... More

Wasn't the best food we've had in New Paltz, but ok. My spaghetti was warm, not hot, when served. Seemed overpriced for the amount and quality of food. More

I've eaten at Barnaby,s several dozen times, most recently last November. Consistently the food has been excellent; I especially like the stuffed flounder, salmon and risotto, the ribs and their bolognese sauce is the best I ever tasted. I lived in Manhattan for 35 years and ate out a lot and feel that Barnaby's can hold its own with anyone.... More

My husband and I had a very tasty lunch here. It is centrally located in the Middle of New Paltz, within walking distance of historic Huguenot Street. More

Had a drink at the bar, very pleasant bartender. It was a Saturday night about 7pm and we didn't really have a wait for a table. There is parking behind the restaurant which is helpful downtown New Paltz. Food was good, nice portions. I had the ahi tuna salad, cooked perfect. Chocolate lava cake was a bit dry. We sat... More

I guess I'm enthralled with Barnabys. Every chance I get to eat there I do. The staff are helpful, friendly, attentive without being annoying. The food has always been excellent no matter what dish anyone orders. The atmosphere is great. There is exposed brick and stone, old building warmth, and tin ceilings all adding to the charm. I think the... More

Roaches....filthy kitchen...owner is a con artist...if you had a good meal..glad for you...if you have any ethics...do not eat here...awful. Tip the waitresses DIRECTLY(they try to make a living but it isn't easy for them!)....I watched the owner pocket tips a few times and finally it clicked. Low life....bad. Don't support this creep.
