Great sushi and sashimi. Excellent quality. Space is somewhat small though. Can get expensive quickly if you like to eat a lot :) More

Lovely Japanese restaurant tucked in a small street in New Paltz, blocks away from Main St. The food is the best and the service is excellent. Make sure you reserve before going as it is popular. More

this place looks amazing. its kind of tough to find, and if you aren't paying attention, you'll drive right by it. but you'd be doing yourself a disservice in missing this little place. the sushi is awesome. i've actually never eaten inside the restaurant, even though it looks so great in there, because they have takeout as well. usually, my... I literally eat here all the time. The sushi's great, the chef's are consistent and I'm never disappointed. The restaurant is small and always packed, so unless you like waiting I would definitely recommend a reservation. More

Would definitely go back here. We each got soup -- I had the tempura udon and he had the beef soba. Both were delicious, fresh, and steaming hot. The service here is great, and the restaurant is cozy and cute. Prices are reasonable, especially for lunch. Would definitely go back! More

This place beats many of the sushi restaurants I've been to in Manhattan. The roll combinations were unique and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. It's a small place so reservations highly recommended as they get very busy. More

I love Japanese, and Hokkaido has spoiled me! Their food is consistently above other Japanese restaurants, including those I've visited from NYC to Louisiana. I've been going to Hokkaido for years and always come away feeling I've had fabulous food and a lovely dining experience. More

While recently visiting New Paltz New York, A friend suggested that I dine at Hokkaido. Although it is somewhat hidden of the main drag of New Paltz it was worth the expedition. With indoor and out side dinning it can accommodate the best of both worlds, The outdoor patio is a marvelous setting for evening dining. The indoor dining has... More
