I walked in this cozy restaurant to find some men speaking Italian. They have window doors that fully open to give that open air feel. I was lucky enough to sit at a table that was right in the open doorway. I had their sangria and a pizza. Delicious. They also had some apitizers on the bar behind me witch... More

Soooo delicious. We were lucky enough to get in right before the kitchen closed and had the best tomato soup I have ever tasted! We were in and out rather quickly and most places hate when you come in close to closing. We made it quick but would definitely go back. Try the tomato salad with goat cheese. We also... More

Biked into long island city from manhattan to lunch here. From the outside its a small unassuming restaurant. The inside appears roman rustic which is the look i believe the owners are going for. the food was average. the gnocchi were nice and fluffy, but the gorgonzola sauce was a bit disappointing. the buccatini all'amatriciana was good. would go back... When you enter, you are unprepared for such an attractive, sophisticated restaurant to be found on Vernon Boulevard in the heart of Long Island City. You are warmly greeted and the restaurant is almost always crowded so make sure you have a reservation. The food is delicious--beautifully presented and fairly priced for the quality.. The service is professional and you... More

Brunch at this restaurant offered a number of interesting omelets in addition to the usual brunch fare.i had a delicious dish of fried eggs with sage, italian beans and, I think, arugula. Good mimosas accompanied the meal, which was quite reasonably priced. We also shared a very good thin crust pizza-- which, given the size of the main dish portions,... More

I had this restaurant recommended to me by a co-worker and tried it on their recommendation. It was a major surprise!! The wait staff could not be more accommodating and the food was delicious. I have been back several times including two recent parties that I hosted. Perfect every time. Well worth a visit! More

Wasn't thrilled about traveling to Long Island City but decided it was worth the trip. Try the crispy artichokes w/olive tapenade. Also had the tilapia w/lemon & capers and really enjoyed it. The only thing to mention is that they only serve beer & wine. More

My husband, adult son and I recently ate lunch at Testaccio. The decor is inviting, contemporary and brand new. It has the feel of an upscale, hip Italian bistro. Two of us ordered from the brunch menu and the other ordered pizza. All of the food was prepared to order and delicious. The absolute best was the tirimisu for dessert.... More
