We loved popping across the street from our hotel, The Haus, for a convenient breakfast at this charming little bakery. We enjoyed our conversations with the easy-going and very friendly owner, Rainer, as well as his yummy creations! The sausage and egg, and ham and cheese croissants, to name just a couple, kept us going basically allllllll the way to... More

Went up Lake Placid for the Memorial Day weekend... Went to crab done cop cakes after reading many good write ups on Trip Advisor... Everyone is right, these are great muffins, staff ate very friendly and cool. Don't be put off by the price, they are well worth it!!!

Stopped in on soggy day and picked up a scone, white chocolate. IT was very good, fresh baked. I would definitely recommend it, but not if your gluten intolerant...

We bought a bag of their "day old scones". Very reasonably priced. You get six huge scones for $5.00. The scones are delicious and taste wonderful if you heat them up in your toaster oven. The bakery has a nice selection of baked goods and everything there looks delicious.

We had scones, and they were melt in the mouth delicious. The sandwiches were hearty with a good selection. The owner will be happy to chat and teach you everything you need to know about Lake Placid.

Handy location on Main Street and right across from our hotel. muffins and scones were very good. Love supporting local businesses especially where the owner is the baker and the server. Next trip to Lake Placid I will be dropping in for a tea and scone again.

Don't miss this OUTSTANDING German bakery! The apple strudel is one of THE BEST I've ever had (don't miss it!). Scones are bursting with blueberries! No skimping here -- Only the freshest, highest quality ingredients are used! Make sure to stop by this wonderful bakery - it's well worth it!

We look forward to having breakfast here every time we come up to LP. Love the turnovers, scones and muffins. They also sell bags of pastries (left over from previous day) for $5- great deal. My husband recommends the breakfast sandwiches too.
