This place was great with great laid back atmosphere. The Collard Greens (don't know how to spell it, sorry) were absolutely delicous and can't imagine any more southern than we had. My mother and family said that they had the best Ribs and Chicken that they have ever had. Will definately go back. Looks like they would have a great... More

I have had the pleasure of eating at Hickory 3 times. I ate at Hickory for the first time in 2010. I was amazed at how great the barbeque was. The side dishes were equally great; the special mac and cheese wonderful, sweet potato fries the bomb. By the looks of the place I figured it was a lucky visit,... More

Hickory catered our rehearsal dinner. Steve, the owner, worked very closely with us to make sure that we had our menu just right, and helped sort out any number of other details (who provides the alcohol, eco-friendly plates, etc.). And, most impressively of all, when Hurricane Irene blew through and knocked out the power in the restaurant, they didn't miss... More

After having driven by this place many times while on the way to skiing, we finally stopped in while on a motorcycle ride. I have been kicking myself ever since for not stopping sooner! I've been back three times since! The menu is filled with your usual BBQ fare. They do have some nice signature dishes. Like Pulled Pork BBQ... More

My husband and I are calling this the year of BBQ were we r trying different BBQ everywhere we go. This BBQ had great service but the food was terrible. We had fried chicken ribs and smoked chicken. The side dishes were bland. I will say everything was hot and served promptly but the taste was not to either of... More

I take great pride in my bbq at home so I judge bbq in three categories: 1) better than mine, 2) same as mine, 3) worse than mine. I have been to Hickory many times and it is a 2-3 in my book. Pulled pork is a little flat in flavor and pretty sloppy while the fries were too salty... More

We've been several times after skiing over the last few years and it is always wonderfu;l. We used to come for the Ribs and Turkey Thighs now we have branched out to fantastic buffalo wings, solid specials especially Fried Chicken, Duck and Lamb ribs and some really downhome homemade desserts. We start thinking about eating here on the drive up... More

We had a post-memorial service dinner here in the back room -- it was a nice, casual venue after an emotional event and Steve, the chef/owner, was very flexible and easy to work with. We love that it's a family operation and I love the ribs; although they are a dry rub, the spicy BBQ sauces are great (red, green,... More

The food all tasted the same no matter what you got and the service was sub -par. We have tried this place a few times with the same results every time. More

Great food and service. It may not look like much, but it is all about customer service and great food. More
