Maybe my opinion of this restaurant is skewed by having had fried shrimp or fried fish for a majority of meals during the weekend before this meal, but I am a bit perplexed about the draw of this place. Two people had personally recommended it to me prior to my visit, so it does have some word of mouth going... More

Nothing can be better in the summer. Dockside tables, great atmosphere, and very good food. There can be a wait, but it is worth it. There are tables at which you can have a drink, and enjoy the view while waiting for a table. Specials are generally great. More

Everything about the place seemed new, which was nice. The view is nice if not beautiful. We, family of 5, got there at 6:30 or so and didn't get seated until nearly 8 pm on a cool, clear May Saturday. I can imagine that it would be much longer on a warm July evening. The food was good but nothing... More

Lobster salad rolls are the BEST BEST BEST, but the steak sandwich is also great. Fabulous Blue Point "Spring Fling" beer in huge glasses. We go there year round. Tends to be really crowded with families early evening, but so worth waiting for!!! More

The Canal Cafe has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Hidden in Hampton Watercraft Marina- truly gourmet food- served on disposable plates. Best Lobster roll in the Northeast! More

I go there often for lunch and dinner. There's mostly outside seating by the marina. There are different specials everyday that are sooo good! I recommend the bLT, lobster salad roll, salads! They also have desserts and a small bar. Long waits on summer nights . More

Excellent food, atmosphere. A bit of a wait during the busy season but well worth it. Nice selection of food. Right on the water with nice views of marina and canal. More

Canal Cafe is the one and only place I HAVE to go to when I go back for a visit to my hometown. The location is one-in-a-million and the food is fabulous. I have been happy with everything I have ever eaten there - but the fried shrimp hero with sweet potato fries and an app of homemade guac is... More

although not so hidden anymore Canal Cafe is awesome. Low key and great food. My favorite is the lobster roll but I am making a point to try the specials and each one has been a hit so far. Great for families. Who wouldn't like sitting outside on a dock on a warm summer day or evening watching the boats... More

The food is good however its not worth the hour to 2 hour wait. Its evident that people are paying off people to get seats and the rest of the patrons are left to wait. Eat a meal before you go because you will be waiting consistantly first for a table and then for the food. More
