Excellent food but the interior is hot as heck. If you sit outside then you'll get eaten by bugs. Bar is barely there and is the smallest I've ever seen.

I've been a cooperstown resident for 23 years and you say that every restaurant has a glorified "chef" well from my experience the yum yum shack has at best average food at an inflated price...if I dine in cooperstown there are a select few restaurants I go to for a consistently good meal at a comparable price point with much...

I cannot gush enough about this place. We loved it so much, we went back a second night. The place is small, so a reservation is definitely recommended. The Alaskan King Crab legs and the pasta with salmon, tomatoes and mushrooms were delicious. The waitress' suggestion of the cabernet was a perfect compliment to our dinner. The cold weather hadn't...

Stopped in for lunch - great atmosphere. Tasty food - fun chef beer/wine pairings. Loved the fish tacos - great recommendation from the waitress. It's definitely a little more upscale than other restaurants in the area but still casual with outdoor seating. Thumbs up!
There are only 2 real chefs in Cooperstown. me and i sold Nicoletta,s Cafe in 2004 and David who is the owner of the Yum Yum Shack. all the other restaurants in a 20 mile radius have self proclaimed CHEFS, either promoted from line cook or dishwasher. I noticed years ago that upstate N.Y. uses the title Chef very loosely...

We recently visited the Yum Yum Shack in June 2012 while our son played at the Cooperstown Dreamparks. This was our third visit to Cooperstown and we have experience many nice restaurants there; but, none stood out as much as Yum Yum Shack. The food was delicious and fresh. The bouillabaisse was extremely full of flavor hinting at the ocean....

original visit date was July 2009. did not eat there so I can't tell you how the food was. The prices were very high
For the price of the food the quality was under par! Everything was seasoned with lots if pepper! Soggy fried fish and French fries, the bread was stale, the mussels had a way to spicy sauce! Not the best place to eat! I will never go back again!!! & very SLOW service!
Good food at the Yum Yum, but a bit on the expensive side. The outside dining is nice, and the artwork is beautiful.
Let's see, it's at least 84 degrees outside and Yum Yum doesn't have air conditioning so it's at least 94 degrees inside. So why bother to clean up before going to eat? Even the hostess (the chef's wife no less) was visibly sweating. I have been to Yum Yum many times in the past and the food and service have...
