Standard fare. Not great unless you can get a table outside for the views. Even then watch out for the bugs. Just had dinner there for birthday party and Three out of four entrees brought to table were seriously overcooked and had to be sent back. Inside main dining room very noisy. Great views and cocktails. Wine list adequate.

Have visited the Hawkeye many times and have always been pleased with the menu and the quality of the fare. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is wonderful. A definite favorite!

We sat out on the stone patio overlooking the lake. The service was great as was the food. I had a seared tuna appetizer with a Sesame crust and dipping sauce that was fantastic. The tuna was perfectly cooked. For an entree, I had swordfish with a lobster cream sauce with chunks of lobster. It was so good, I restrained... More

Someone knows how to cook steak! If you can, grab a seat on the patio and enjoy the carefully planned menu from this 5 star restaurant chef. Try some fresh seafood and a bloody mary while you watch the boats pass by. Nothing can beat the view, and the food is right up there too!

The best time to be at the Hawkeye is in the summer, on the patio with the cold beverage of your choice. The restaurant serves steak and sea-food of slightly above average standard, but not very imaginative. The ace in the hole is dining on the patio.. or drinks.. especially at sunset. Service is average but friendly. Sunday brunch is... More

Nestled lakeside with the mountains in view, it's a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful menu. Wished we were a couple weeks later, with warmer weather, so we could have enjoyed a dinner on the patio.

Like a trip into the past, this place has good food but don't expect innovation. Wine menu ok. Can be very busy in the summer baseball rush.
