Opened in 1947, this quaint country restaurant offers contemporary French fare, beautifully presented with excellent service in an elegant & uniquely classic setting. The Menu at La Crémaillère emphasizes fresh ingredients & changes on daily, weekly & seasonal basis. Menu items range from a variety of domestic & imported fish selections to seasonal game offerings during the fall & winter. Very easily accessible on the Greenwich, CT/Bedford, NY border, with easy directions from the Merritt Parkway. Take Exit 31 (North Street, Greenwich, CT). I have been here many times but I always select their mouth waterIng lobster dish. You just can't get enough. Service is excellent. Jackets are required. More

I like to experiment, more than my wife does, with different restaurants for a special night out. We have been going to La Cremaillere off and on for 35 years, through its ups and downs, but after the last two visits I ask myself "why take the chance with any place else." We had brunch and at $29 for a 3 course meal (soup/app, entree, dessert) it's a very good deal. The restaurant is in a beautiful idyllic location in Bedford. The food is great and the service is good. Recommended dishes: Veg soup, escargot, lamb More

I ate dinner here with friends on June 23. What an extraordinary meal it was! We began with champagne, the staff brought small appetizers to the table (bite-sized quiches); first courses of salad, smoked salmon and blini.
