I had the hamburger with wonderful onion rings and my daughter had the fish tacos. The beef is grass fed from local farms and is wonderful. You will love this place. Colorful and so Taos

don' t look at the floor, if you expect cleanliness. Tacky decor with western stuff and chinese lantern lights. They are proud of their organic and gluten free choices and grass fed meat. I would not go back, although my food was ok.
This is real northern New Mexican food. No wonder it is the locals' favorite. My huevos rancheros were smothered with the tastiest red chile in town. Caution: this is not a glitzy place, just a simple restaurant with local art on the walls. We loved it!
We went for breakfast. My husband reported that his oatmeal was excellent. Unfortunately, I ordered the biscuits and gravy twice (same day) and both times they were bad. The first time, the biscuits could have been used as hockey pucks. The second time, the biscuits came out as uncooked dough piles.
Hey, it is a diner - local folks with their kids, old guys drinking coffee, other locals in the corner pecking away on their laptops. AND, the food is good, hot, and generous portions. Not much in the way of 'decor' (it is a diner!) but a good place for breakfast or lunch.
We were recommended to a different restaurant up the road but they were remodeling. Since we hadn't eated since the night before (it was after noon) and we were starving, we stopped at the first place that looked like a local eatery. It was Taos Diner II. I have a list of things to watch out for when picking a...

Wow! You can't beat the great breakfast and if you want some of the best green chili in Taos this is the place to go! Ski season or year round. Great prices, great service and where the local people go to eat.
My favorite place in Taos for breakfast. Actually it is north of town a bit. You will see a ton of locals in this place because it is so good and the portions are big. Not walking distance from hotels but worth the small trip. You cannot go wrong with huevos rancheros.
We had breakfast here and I cannot rate it highly enough. Great service, fantastic food, served quickly and efficiently, with a lovely local atmosphere! i noticed there weren't many tourists here, mainly local folk, which is always a good sign. The food isn't given away, but nevertheless is really good value.
We hit up Taos Diner for breakfast after hiking the Devisadrano Trail. It was worth it! Staff was friendly and accommodating ("Welcome! Sit wherever you like!) and the breakfast was GOOD. Everything was hot and they do not skimp on the portions. Within 10 minutes, the place was hopping and they seem to have a few "regulars" who they take...
