Description: Doc Martin's Restaurant is an acclaimed fine dining establishment located in a registered historic landmark. A Taos tradition for locals and visitors alike, the warm ambiance of the main latilla room in Doc's has been a gathering place since the Taos Society of Artist's first met here in the 1920's and 30's. Headed by Executive Chef Gary “Zippy” White, our menu is a presentation of New American and Northern New Mexican cuisine, specializing in fresh organic foods from the Southwest. Known for its incredible value and extensive breadth of selections from old to new world, our wine list has earned Wine Spectator's "Best Of" Award of Excellence for twenty-one consecutive years. Pastry Chef Gayle Glanz creates sumptuous “beyond belief” desserts nightly that tantalize the senses and send our customers away with sweet memories.

We ate dinner her with friends. We ate the fish tacks and agreed they were great. Our friends ordered salads which were so generous they never did get all the way through them. The staff was constantly on the move and very attentive. I would recommend Doc Martin 's .

Doc Martin's restaurant in the famous Taos Inn in Taos is a "must stop" when visiting Taos. It's right on the main drag so it's easy to find. They have FREE parking located in the back of the building which is very convenient! There are several options for dining, from the outdoor area , to the bar with lots of... More

Wow-the house specialty is chili rellanos and they are out of this world! Long thin chilies filled with cheese and breaded...heavenly! Try the house Chardonnay from New Mexico and you have a knockout combo. Right next door is the Adobe Bar with live music every night-THE spot in Taos each evening.

We had been told that this would be an amazing place to eat. How disappoint when we found it to be even less than mediocre. First off, we had wanted to sit in the elegant dining room but were told that the garden was much better. It wasn't - it was like someone's junky backyard- nothing to recommend it. Dull,... More

Great Food, great service and great ambiance. My wife had the Taos Taco salad and I had the chicken enchiladas. Both were outstanding. The server was attentive but not intrusive at all. We ate out on the back patio and watched the different birds get a drink from the nearby fountain. It was delightful all around.

We spent the first night of our weeklong trip to Taos, Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, Hovenweep, Telluride and Ouray at the Historic Taos Inn. While our room there wasn't quite everything we'd hoped it would be -- more on that elsewhere -- we had an excellent dinner at the Inn's restaurant. I had the Green Chile Smothered Burrito,... More

I had dinner with two friends last night. The (teenage) server was so full of herself that she was unable to listen. We asked for a drink straight-up and we got it on the rocks. We accepted the first drink with no complaints. We asked for a second drink, this time specifying that we did not want to have ice... More

The waitstaff are nice, but the food is barely average. Dinner here is ridculously overpriced. Lunch is a better bet. For dinner, try across the street at Grahmas Grille.

Great local band, good food. Centrally located in historic, old Taos Hotel. Great shopping nearby in Bent Street. Recommend that you try!

We ate at 8:30ish on a Sunday night. Ordered the "lighter fare" - split a chile rellenos and each had the shrimp salad/apple salad. Food was delicious, our waitress was fantastic - she offered great opinions, ideas and even chatted with us about sights in town. Drinks were tasty - many margaritas to choose from and a good beer selection... More
