Tried this restaurant knowing that the owner also did own RIO which is now closed & was my absolute favourite in bali
So I had to try the same style steak (Tenderloin 250gr med rare) it was cooked a little over what I like but was still pretty good, But the Mannekepis sauce on the side was to die for...

Ended up at Mannekepis after initially trying to go to Rio's which has now closed. (apparently same owner as Mannekepis) Had a lot to live upto as Rio's was a fabulous place but our group of 4 had an enjoyable meal for a reasonable price. Steaks were all cooked to perfection (pepper sauce incredible !!) and the menu was interesting...

This restaurant was the best food we had in Bali. Although there were plently of choices along the same street, we returned to Mannekepis 3 times during our stay in Bali. The menu contains quite a variety and we were ever not disappointed. We tried traditional Western dishes and Belgian dishes-exceptional. The prices are extremely reasonable for Bali-Seminyak is flooded...

We had dinner for two, one apetizer and a main each, water, 2 fruit juices: 400.000 IDR, aka about 40 USD. Food far from being stunning, in fact I almost did not touch my side dish (potatoes with garlic or better, garlic with potatoes). You can find much better for cheaper around here (e.g. ultimo). Live music was good though.

Every time I visit Bali I MUST have dinner minimum 1 time in MannekePis. I specially like their Vlaamse Stovers (Belgian beef stew, slowly cooked in beer) with Brussels sprouts. And the escargots/snails.

was there for dinner, from it name we're all know that its very Belgium, and that right its own by Belgian. They have international menu, Belgian menu and also some authentic indonesian cuisine. I had my steak last time and it was really nice for that kind of price. The nice atmosphere, nice interior design, friendly staff and don't forget...

Recomended by a friend. Dropped in for a great lunch on a hot day (aircon not working but lots of fans). Great service and extensive menu. Chose two brilliant salads (tuna and chicken) which were a delight. Good cocktail list and a good wine list for Bali.
Happily booked dinner 2 nights later as a local soul band were playing....
