I have been to the Mohawk house too many times to count. The food is the best around. Yes it is a little on the pricey side but the awesome food warrants it. The bar atmosphere is outstanding. They have some of the best bands around the state playing there. The seperation from the bar and the restaurant is perfect... More

We've eaten here about 6 or 7 times since moving to Sparta. The most impressive thing to me is the employees. They are great every time. The food is always very good. The atmosphere is really beautiful. It reminds me of a Vermont lodge (which is odd since I have never been to a lodge in Vermont). It is pricey...$14... More

This is an upscale restaurant both for your palet and wallet. Very imaginative menu served in a beautiful building. We visit at least once a month and it's been amazingly consistant. The service is excellent and it's our go to restaurant when we have visitors. More

We went for a quick bit to eat and have a few drinks. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the service and the flatbread pizza was great. The sussex pizza is worth it. We will definitely stop here again. The atmosphere is great. More

food is very good but be prepared for sticker shock. Stick to the appetizers if you are on a budget. A party of 6 with one drink each was over $600. New York City prices in Sussex County. It's good but not THAT good. More

We have eaten at the Mohawk House on several occasions and love the rustic lodge atmosphere. The restaurant is warm, woody and upscale. We tend to eat in the bar rather than the dinning room because of the less formal atmosphere and interesting bar menu. The place is pricey but worth the occasional splurge. More

The first couple of times we were there the food was very good. Always a good beer selection. The overall prices are a bit steep, but the atmosphere is nice, although I wish they wouldn't start the bands in the bar while the dining room is in session! The last 3 times we went, the food has progressively declined, and... More

The 'Mohawk House' experience starts at the valet service and is a delight throughout. A rustic Adirondack lodge-style building invites you into the main lobby for immediate attention. You can decide from there to enjoy a cocktail in the spacious bar (with over 42 fresh beers on tap from all over the world) or move directly to your table. I... More

Nothing to say except service was terrible, will never go back. Our blond little waitress was inpolite and seemed like she didnt want to be there, i actually saw her texting on her cell instead of serving our then "cold" food. More

I've had steaks, salads, seafood, and pasta here and it have always been flavorful. Not cheap but, for the quality, not outrageous. More
