So met friends here for drinks and appetizers. Good place to talk, they have a nice fireplace and lighting throughout. Some music would be nice but it's aim to please all with sports etc. Love the mac and cheese and tuna pizza (sashimi style) drinks are on the high side but they do have good beers. Located right on the Westfield/Mountainside border, The Publick House is unique to the area. Very casual with tables throughout the most of the place but an area in back that is less structured and very comfortable. The biggest surprise was the food though. Located on a quiet corner in Moutainside, NJ, this Irish-American eatery is welcome destination for the local Jerseyites who know this gem. It is a welcoming, friendly, gathering place with an upscale, open, modern, vibe- a mix that works extremely well.
