The title says it all. This place serves very plain food. The service has more attitude than an upper West side French restaurant. The "all you can eat" buffet is over crowded. They charge you for whole wheat bread!

Went there once, when they opened, was very quite, food we average, the service was average considering no one was there, weird, nothing special.

I discovered this place last fall, and had several good buffet meals there. I and my colleagues mostly agreed it was good food -- not excellent, but good. Over the last couple of months, the lunch buffet has become wildly inconsistent, as if they have added an conspicuously untalented chef to the mix. Several colleagues have taken Amiya off the...

near exchange place this is the only indian cuisine around exchange place area. Ambiance of this little place is pretty neat. Food is well prepared. I specially like their buffet lunch (no buffet at dinner). They have improved a lot on food taste, variety and of course courtesy.

My husband and I have been meaning to try Amiya for some time, but as Indian is not a go to food for us, just finally got around to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making recommendations. We shared a delicious homemade cheese and a mango shrimp for an appetizer. For entrees my husband had the Tikki...

Wide range of well cooked food - you can ask for spice strength and has attentive staff

Overpriced mediocre food. Bad customer service. Staff has too much attitude. Completely unapologetic for any mistake or delays in bringing out food or delivering order. They don't care about customer experience. Should they still stay in business? I think not.

I like Indian food, this place; though lacking in decor; has food that is better than average. It has a few Punjabi dishes that I hadn't tried before, that were good.If you are stuck in Newport for any reason, and you want food that is tasty, inexpensive and served by congenial and attentive waiters, this is the place. Far above the...

Ate here for lunch with a large group of coworkers. It was a buffet with a large selection. Although the selection was vast, the quality leaves little to be desired. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken curry or chicken tikka masala. Tandori chicken was good. Dessert was blah and the nan was burnt and not fresh. I think they...

I've eaten here and ordered delivery. Entrees came before appetizers when dining in. Service was terrible. Had to ask for our rice three times. Delivery to to only .5 miles away took 1.5 hours and the order wasn't right. Too bad. This place had decent food once upon a time.
