Description: The first Spanish restaurant in New Jersey opened in 1963 by our grandparents, Antonio & Estrella Martinez. The idea was simple: Give the finest traditional Spanish food at a reasonable price, with warm, friendly & efficient service. You may have entered as a customer, but you left as a friend. As the second & third generations continue the family tradition, we want to maintain the same ideas which were taught to us by our grandparents. We not only welcome you as customers to our restaurant, we welcome you as friends into our home. Sit back, relax and enjoy some friendly service while your mouth-watering meals are being prepared by some of the same chefs who have been with our family for years. Your Hosts, Jerry & Michael Fernandez

The Spanish Pavillion has had its ups and downs in the almost 50 years of serving Iberian style steak and seafood. At the moment it is very up, in part from the menu and decor tweaking prompted by a makeover reality show. Our group started a recent Friday evening sharing sangria and chatting with the regulars during the 4-7 "happy... More

We loved the friendly service, 3 course meal, and had enough for another meal. A great value. More

Stayed at the Hampton Inn on Passaic so this restaurant is about 100 yards from the hotel. Had great reviews on line so I decided to try out authentic spanish food. It's been around since 1976 so don't expect some modern decor. Has the feel of an old style eastern steakhouse...low lights and no music...they do speak spanish often so... More

I must admit I went to the Pavillion because I was given a groupon. What a surprise,we left with big smiles on our faces knowing we just had a great meal. The tapas menu was excellent,we had the shrimp with garlic and the marinated olives, all I can say is wow! I had the N.Y. sirloin as an entree, and it steakhouse quality. For dessert... More

We purchased a great groupon deal for this place and it was definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is a bit dark and a bit quiet for a Friday night. The strange thing was the lack of music. The tapas selection was quite good and reasonably priced. We would recommend the lamb meatballs, the calamari with hot & sweet peppers, and... More

If you like to try some different dishes, and Spanish Cuisine, this will be the place for you. We went there because they had some advertising in the Hampton Inn Riverwalk just a very short walk away. It was a midweek night, so there was not much of a crowd. We split an appetizer of large mussels in a cream... More

This was a last-minute reservation for an early dinner on the night of a major soccer match at the Red Bulls Arena (about 10 minutes walk away). I couldn't face the typical hot dog and fries outside the stadium - so on the way I checked Trip Advisor and found the 'only' listed restaurant in Harrison. Well, given the lack... More

Spanish Pavillion was recommended by the staff at the nearby Hampton Inn where we stayed during vacation. The salmon was the best I've ever had, very moist and so light it seems almost plumped up. One serving of arroz con pollo (chicken and rice) could easily serve a family of four. The shrimp were enormous. Don't miss the banana chocolate... More
