We've had lunch here a few times--love the patio in summer! But tonight was the first time we had dinner at Gladstone. The food was excellent! I had the brisket pot roast with red cabbage and potato pancakes. This is on the "winter menu," so it probably won't be available spring and summer, but on a drizzly cool evening, it... More

Always get a good meal at this restaurant. Definitely one of our favorites in the area. Great atmosphere and good food for both lunch and dinner. More

Nice pub/restaurant that has been on this site for many years under several different names/owners. The food was above average and the service was great. Reservations will be needed on a Saturday night. They have special events and live music on occasion. Worth the trip. More

This place oozes atmosphere. It is a vibrant well-managed local hot spot. Food is not the star attraction. Gladstone Tavern caters to the well-heeled local clientele. The bar jumps on the weekends, and the dining room is abuzz with neighbors chit-chatting across tables. The special menu sported many drink specials (my "Tom's Collins" special tasted like pure sour mix). The... More

The noise level inside the restaurant or bar area is WAY too loud. More

First time in the Gladstone Tavern. Had no reservation, so sat at the bar area and ordered drinks and appetizers. The decor and atmosphere were pleasant. The guacamole was good. The staff (front desk and bar) were okay, but not overly friendly. I won't go out of my way to come here again. More

We had dinner at the bar. Although I think the prices were high (perhaps because of the area?), but the food was very good and the atmosphere was friendly and casual. Many regular customers were there. More

The place looks very nice and is very clean. My issues were the food just was not very good, wasn't bad but wasn't, I don't know, something was missing. Plus the dining room is pretty small which is not a bad thing. Unless of course you stick a 4 piece band in there. Then it gets so loud you can... More

Just returned from having lunch at the Galdstone Tavern. Very nice - wait staff was the friendliest out there. Atmosphere is relaxed. Great salads and sandwiches at lunch - and the fries were excellent (frites style). Will definitely go there again. More

The Gladstone Tavern is an attractive building in the middle of Gladstone. The interior is a little crowded, but this does help generate a lively atmosphere. There is an extensive menu with a wide variety of home cooked dishes and regular specials menus. The food is tasty, well presented and clearly home cooked. Service is attentive but sometimes missed simple... More
