Decor is simple -- diner style in booths. Food excellent and probably double what one would expect -- yet the prices are most reasonable.

Hands down, the best restaurant for breakfast in Cape May! Prices are good, as well as the service. Love the omelets and banana french toast is to die for. Not a large place, but worth the wait. Never had a bad experience with the servers, and have been back many times through the years - summer and winter visits. Lunch...

Dining at George's Place is like dinner with family. The young wait staff enjoy their work and love bantering with the diners. Listen to their advice when you order. We ordered the lamb chops and pork tenderloin on the recommendation of our server and they were both delightful and plentiful. The Greek salad was a meal in itself. They do...

Delicious Greek food. You must try the flaming cheese appetizer. Also, these are some of the nicest people in all of Cape May. We felt like family! However - if you plan to eat there during peak season and especially on a weekend - you'd better call ahead. The line goes down the block!
These folks were very accomodating, took us in although close to closing, great crabcakes, and did a few extra kindnesses for us.
We visit Cape May every year and a big part of our trips there are centered around lunch at Georges. Great food, excellent coffee. Parking can be a pain at the meters...but the meal is worth it, got to get there early or you may just not be able to get in before they close for the afternoon...but it is...

We go to George's on almost all our trips to Cape May, most often for breakfast. They have such original and delicious choices, it's a required stop. But the atmosphere is more like a diner so don't go expecting fine dining. Place is small, does not take reservations and only takes cash so be prepared. If you arrive at a...

We walked in for breakfast. its a small restaurant - perhaps 10 tables which gives it a nice intimacy you don't get in the big "breakfast houses" nearby. They have hash brown potatoes - well prepared and good. Welcoming service - glad we went
Enjoyed a delicious lunch at George's. Started with pita and hummus, tasty and fresh. Then moved on to gyros, one chicken, one regular. Both were good but needed a little more meat. Tomato, onions, lettuce all very fresh. Sauce was very good, too. It's a small place, right across the street from the beach. Go early or slightly off peak...

It was ok. We were expecting more. Maybe because we have eaten a lot of Greek food we found the food here to be pretty average. Many people have raved about this restaurant. And our friends tonight really liked their dinner. Go figure.
