The mad batter was welcoming, the almond French toast was wonderful, the coffee was great and the waitress was friendly and helpful when we asked about a local fitness center with daily rates. Thanks, Jenny D!

We stayed in Cape May May 2013. Here we ate breakfast twice, dinner once, cocktails at the bar once and dessert once. Excellent quality food and large portions! Dessert was lovely! French toast was out of this world. My husband loved his poached egg with crabmeat- and he never enjoys anything new. Loved sitting outside under the awning for meals... More

So - Mom found a review for Mad Batter online, so since it was her choice on mothers day we ventured down. Great day- but then THIS place happened. : ( First we were greeted by a not so friendly host (Later found out to be the manager), at first we were seated outside, we asked if we could possibly... Small, nice bar with great bartenders. We only stopped in for a beer and to check the place out but we will go back. They had Yards brawler on tap! It gets very crowded at Happy hour and its definitely a place where the older folks hang out but it was fun and everyone was happy.

Lovely supper meal with friends. Excellent variety of gluten free items for all three meals. Service was excellent and our meal was hot. Portions were just the right size. The fish n chips were good. Not too much batter. The crab cake sandwich was excellent. The gluten free turkey burger was huge, moist and accompanied by lots of tomatoes, onions... More

We recently had breakfast at the Mad Batter as part of a package while staying at the Carroll Villa. They served it in a cheerful space at the back of the restaurant (apparently it is usually served on a front porch area that was being painted). Any place that gives you a choice of real maple syrup with your pancakes... More

Read previous reviews and stopped for a quick lunch. Enjoyed our chicken Waldorf salad on a croissant. Delicious! Thank you.

We went for dinner our first night at the hotel. The food was delicious and our waitress was awesome. We forgot to let her know that we were guests at the hotel. When we let her know, she graciously adjusted our bill. We also went for breakfast the next morning. The portions were very large, the coffee was delicious and... More
