Celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with friends and family. Fantastic food and staff that made the occasion very special. Highly recommend.

Very pricey, I purchased a living social voucher for the seven course meal for two. We ordered one drink each and the total bill was $110.00. That was the price before the tip. This is a special occasion place to eat, clearly, however if your money smart or savvy you will save your money and learn to cook. I can... More

Worth it just for the experience of eating a wonderful medium rare veal chop in a brilliant sauce -- one of the tastiest things I have eaten in a while. My family was unsure about it when we first arrived. Their traditional Italian food favorites were not on the menu. But their worries were banished with the first taste of... More

Plan for a wonderful meal, tastes and service. We were initially taken aback that the staff and clientele were very dressed up and mature. We were warmly welcomed none the less as we simply dressed nicely, but nothing special. We often worry of over ordering, but every spec was eaten at every gate by all. That was due to the... More

They won't take a reservation without a credit card. Sorry. Your food was not that good. Many other great restaurants in Portsmouth. And being a meeting planner, I will bring my business elsewhere.

I have been going to Massimo's for 20 years...it used to be named Anthony Albertos way back. It is my favorite place for dining anywhere. The food is fab, the waitstaff is even more so and Massimo is just the best. He oversees the entire operation. Everyone works together to ensure the best experience. I cannot say enough about how... We dined a the restaurant on a Saturday evening during restaurant week. We made a reservation very late in the week and ended up with the only available time of 9:30pm. We didn't mind though, we just planned our day accordingly. And besides, it made our experience even more like a true italian night out. We did not have to... More

We ate here and booked way in advance. The food was good, and the service was good. It did feel a bit townie to me, because we had a 630 reservation and we didn't sit until 645, which is okay, but the issue was that 3 other couples that showed after us that sat before us. I did like the... More
