Took the family here for a celebration dinner. It was great. Everyone loved their menu choices. New fav is the Zuchini frtittas, delicious!
There are good things and bad things about this place, the bread is quite good, the dipping sauce extremely average. Since when is pepper in olive oil a dipping sauce? My dish was sweet of all things, my wife's shrimp chewy although she enjoyed the pasta. Our waiter was stretched thin on a day the place wasn't busy, did refill... More
In Lincoln, NE, you run the risk of going to a so-called Italian restaurant and having your server offer "Eye-talian" dressing and/or "Bru-shetta" at which point I roll my eyes and give them a pronunciation lesson. There are a few stand-alone Italian restaurants here and several chains, Olive Garden and Grisanti's among them. But the Mac Grill stands head-and-shoulders above... More
Went last night. Did call ahead seating. They said they could get us in between 730-745. We finally were seated at our table at 815. Bartenders were friendly. Took over an hour to get our food. My shrimp dish was tasty. My husbands chicken dish was really average. Seems like they weren't ready for all of the extra people in... More
Gotta love the bread and cannoli and the chianti wine. I like the easy drinking wine glasses. They messed up my order twice but comped it and our desserts so that was ok. We actually like the happy hour in the bar best with the great selection of tapas. Great way to have a nice variety for dinner at a... More
My girlfriends and I like to meet here for dinner. Good menu choices. Not sold on the house wines, however. They do have other wines available, and those are good.
We always liked Macaroni Grill but hadn't been there in a while so we decided to take the kids for dinner. To begin the evening the service was pretty bad. We were seated for 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Another 10 minutes went by before anyone asked what we wanted to drink. This was especially disappointing since we... More
We went to the Macaroni Grill on New Years Eve with a 6:30 reservation. When we were all seated we were informed that they were out of their "signature" bread. At 6:30! One of our group ordered soup as an appetizer and was informed that the soup was frozen and would take 30 minutes to prepare. No attempt was made... More
We always look at the menu and then go back to our favorite. Shrimp Portafino. It is wonderful. We don't get there as often as we would like as we live 100 miles away. Service has always been great. We always go for lunch because of the travel time.
