While staying Gardiner to tour Yellowstone, we grabbed a quick lunch at the Tumbleweeds. The salad was fresh and tasty, but the cafe was out of the dressing we requested. No big deal. The seating was limited, and we ended up crammed into a corner next to a rather grumpy patron apparently there for the internet access. It took quite... More

Fair trade coffee and delicious sandwiches made with wholesome ingredients prepare you for your adventures in Yellowstone National Park. Pets are welcome on the deck.

We stopped at Tumbleweeds to pick up a sandwich to eat in the park. They had a good selection of interesting sandwiches, and we ordered one to share. It was plenty big enough for the two of us to share. The sandwich was very good, but I was rather disturbed that the girl making the sandwich failed to wash her... More

Try their apple ham and cheese sandwich. Never had one like it and it was amazing. Coffee's fresh too.

I've never met a bookstore I didn't like and this one is special. As would be expected it focuses on books about the Park but there's great variety within that specialty, kids books, books with gorgeous photos and books with interesting Park history. The cafe is okay but the bookstore is the highlight.

Tumbleweeds is a very nice small cafe and bookstore on the main street of Gardiner. Sandwiches are excellent and the staff is very nice. If you're lucky, Jackson the dog will come by for a visit. Tumbleweeds is more than a cafe however. We had nine guys on a fishing trip who had no interest in cooking dinner (or in... More

We stopped here early one morning for breakfast. It is a small establishment - a bookstore and coffeehouse with a limited menu - but the coffee and food is good. There are only a few tables indoors and some outdoors. I had the breakfast burrito, which was very good. My husband and daughter had egg sandwiches - also very good.... More

Coffee is good, nice selection of books, and a small kitchen. Breakfast bagel was delicious. Wi-Fi available. Quick service so this is a good choice for a go-cup of coffee. They were also nice to my dog.

In Gardiner for 3 nights while exploring Mammoth Hot Springs and other northern Yellowstone sites, I googled for a bookstore since I'd finished my vacation "read" the night before. At Tumbleweed, I found a perfect book and lunched on a fresh salad, hummus and a cappuccino that was delicious. A VERY informal setting (I'm giving a high rating for atmosphere),... More

We needed internet access and they have free wifi, good coffee and baked goods so it was a good match for us. They really don't mind if you stay for hours (as long as there are not people waiting for a seat). Service seemed a little slow for more complicated things off the menu but overall, we enjoyed out visit.
