BBQ half chicken? More like a warmed up oven cooked chicken with some bland sauce poured over the skin. Pretty close to the worst food we've ever been served. We ordered sweet potato fries for $4.00 and got only a few cents worth. Literally a small handful when we expected a plate full for that price. The sides that were... More

We were drawn to this place by the rustic "log cabin" exterior and were pleasantly surprised by great service and DELICIOUS hamburger & fries. One of the best meals we had while on vacation.

Right on the main street to the entrance of Yellowstone, it's hard to miss this restaurant with the cowboy riding a horse in the parking lot. The food is decent and they seemed to have a steady flux of customers, including a large tour bus.

We ate at the Cowboy Lodge and Grill twice last Spring, and twice again this year, during visits to Yellowstone. Last year, we had the pulled pork sandwich, and the steak. The pulled pork was good, as we're the steaks. Based upon our experience last year, we tried them again this year. This time, the pulled chicken sandwich was a... More

We've been here several times, and now we consider it an important part of our trips to Yellowstone. Nice atmosphere, friendly and verrrry laid back service (be patient), and most of the food is good...but the burgers are freakishly delicious. So are the sweet potato fries. My kids, who think burgers are okay at best, ate to the point where... More

Although I rated it "okay" it was good. (There needs to be a rating between "okay" and "very good"!) While I can't say it was "very good," it was good and we were perfectly happy with our dinner. We stopped for dinner after a day in Yellowstone before heading back to our hotel for the night. The restaurant was very... More

I ate at Cowboy's four times during my stay at Gardiner, MT. Both breakfasts were incredible with absolutely amazing biscuits. For lunch, I had a tasty brisket sandwich and dinner was a wonderful turkey burger. The staff was friendly and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better place.

Our family really enjoyed having dinner at this restaurant! Great food, cozy, and friendly service. The home made chips with their BBQ sauce was a great side as well.

This was one of the few places open in Gardiner. Below freezing outside and not very warm inside. Not being meat-eaters we often struggle with menu choice so had the fish sandwich, OK. I can recommend the home-made kettle chips.

After driving all night from Wis. and wanting to stop for Breakfast before spending the morning in the park for some great animal watching. We needed a place to stop. And what a great surprise this was. Excellent food good portions and great company at 6:00 am. And the only place open in town. Would recommend to anyone. Really love... More
