The restaurant was bright and bustling. The food was good (I had steak and my husband had pork) but a little too expensive for what it was, and our side of sugar snaps were way too salty!

From the minute we arrived we knew this was going to be one of those evenings that would prove to be wonderful from start to finish. The century’s old building glows from within with its high ceilings, exposed brick and expansive windows in the bar and dining room. Ambiance personified. The food did not disappoint! From the starters to dessert,...

When I saw the Date Night promotion, I jumped at the chance. For $50, you get 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, PLUS a bottle of wine. This would be a ridiculous deal anywhere, let alone somewhere like Lurcat with delicious food and a beautiful space. I started with the baby leaf lettuces with goat cheese which was delicious....

Stopped in on a business trip tonight and holy hell this is good food. The Apple, Cheese and Chive salad was a great way to start off, and it just got better. I had the pork tenderloin with fig compote, carmelized onions and St. Pete's bleu cheese which was one of the best meals I have had in quite some...

This restaurant is gorgeous, inside and out. You get the excitement of being downtown, with the convenience of not actually being in the heart of downtown Minneapolis!
The food and service are absolutely top notch, and while it appears super-fancy you can still fit in while wearing slightly more casual clothing. Servers provide helpful recommendations on food and wine, and...

Cafe Lurcat was one of the most interesting, unique, and beautiful restaurants I've ever seen. It is in an old refurbished area of an urban area in Minneapolis. The food was outstanding and we were seated where you could watch the chefs at work. They never look up they are intense perfecting each and every plate that leaves their watch....

I went with my son for Sunday evening "date night". For $50 you split a bottle of wine, and each get an appetizer, entree and dessert. Fabulous menu, food and service. Amazing! I highly recommend this place.
We dined here for the first time tonight. All our friends rave about it but for some reason we never made it until now. We had a few drinks at the bar which was great happy hour pricing (even on Sat!) and attentive service. The lavender martini looked very good and the wife said it was excellent. I had a...

To start, this restaurant should definitely be ranked higher than #10 in the Minneapolis area.
When to dine: We visited on a Sunday night which I fully recommend. Sunday night is "date night" which includes a bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and 2 desserts for $50/couple.
