Happened into 7 Monks while in town visiting friends. My friends had never been there and wanted to pop in and see what it was like. I was completely overwhelmed by the beer menu, but the staff helped me narrow down my choices. We decided to grab dinner there as well - this place is huge, with ample seating. We... More

We love tasting all the different beers; they have so many on tap and ready to go. They really are not priced badly either. Their food is delicious, we both ordered chili, I found it to be a little too spicy (I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy). I just took it home for my husband to eat later.... More

Great selection of unique beers, great atmosphere, fsntadtic services from servers who are certified beer experts, but most of the beer we wanted off the menu was not available which was very disappointing. The food iwas very good and yes we will try again next time we are in traverse city hopefully to a fully available menu. More

With a very impressive selection of brews 7 Monks was likely to be a hit in beer thirsty Traverse City. The only thing that could have derailed its success would have been poor service, over the top prices, etc. Service has been stellar each time I've been there and even though some of the prices are a bit steep it's... Great burgers, fries and beers. The garlic herb aoli for the fries was delicious. Plentiful and intriguing beer choices. (the Great Lakes---Edmund Fitzgerald was perfect with the burger.) Fun cool atmosphere. A little loud/echoey, but that comes with a crowd and high ceilings. Great service! Very friendly and helpful. More

My husband and I stopped in for a beer and a bite while on date night. It lived up to the hype. Friendly service, nice beer selection, interesting and appealing menu (bummed they discontinued the scotch eggs though!). The pizza we ordered was fantastic. We will definitely go back. More

This is a great addition to downtown. Its a really fun place to meet people for beers. They have a great selection and also have wine/ alcohol. The food is creative and fresh. Worth a visit! More

I love to try different beers. Their choices are quite good. The food was very good too. It was a good value. Good atmosphere. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Be warned: Super tiny writing on their tri-fold menu. More

My wife and I popped into 7 Monks after several attempts--it always seems crowded and busy. However, having now actually dined there, it was interesting to see that if the place *seems* crowded there is a regular ebb and flow of guests and diners. It doesn't stay crowded (nor empty) very long. It does have a staggering array of beers... More

This is a welcome addition to the tc scene, both as a drinking spot and a food spot. 7 monks has a chic ambience and has more of a big city feel to it, while still exuding the warmth and charm of traverse city. Sexy decor and lighting draw a hip crowd, while great food and a huge beer selection... More
