Our second visit to Frankie's was a HUGE disappointment. Right after the makeover, the food and service were excellent. This time, the service remained impressive but the food was awful. The artichoke and parmesan dip was an excellent choice for an appetizer. We should have been satisfied with that and gone somewhere else for the rest of our meal. The... More

Made an hour+ trip to Frankie's after seeing it on RI. We were VERY disappointed to say the least. Upon entering, although early...around 11:30 a.m., we saw garbage and leftover old cigarrette butts laying in and around the landscaping at the front door...and thought "UT OH!". Unfortunately, what started outside continued inside. The staff were lack luster...and the place was... More

We were only in town for one night and stopped in for dinner on March 29, 2013. The meals were excellent and the waitress was very friendly. Two excellent dinners for under $20.00 (spaghetti & meatballs and a burger)! Great casual atmosphere, and when the train goes by it is so unique. I actually got caught up on my email... More

Great atmosphere. I ordered a veggie burger which was exceptional, as were the fries. My husband ordered the mozzarella sticks, which were very expensive but divine. The tomato sauce was fantastic. My husband also ordered the chicken cordon bleu which was served on a tiny side plate over a bed of mashed potatoes that were good but were cold. It... More

Frankie's has recently undergone a makeover, compliments of a "Restaurant Impossible". Unfortunately, it didn't help much. The food is mediocre at best. When we went there last week, the service was very slow. While the place LOOKS great, we found the atmosphere to be very noisy and not condusive to family dining.

I'm tired of reading nasty reviews about businesses that have restaurant impossible come to help them . if the nasty food they were serving before chef Irvines visit was so wonderful to you then why were they going out of business and why did they reach out to him for help? I believe that the few customers writing bad reviews... More

After the local news coverage surrounding the recent makeover of Frankie's by R.Irvine's Restaurant Impossible, we decided to give it another chance. On our first visit, we were seated in the bar, and had an "just ok" dining experience - sampling the famous fried mushrooms and the signature pizza. We were somewhat impressed with the new paint job and various... More

Ok, I have been going to Frankie's for years. Finally had the chance to stop in to see the "new" Frankie's. Really not impressed. Yes, it's been opened up by removing a wall, which allows more light in. The whole railroad theme seems to be a miss. The menu had zero non-meat offerings. Really? Come on. Service was really good-although... More

First I am bias since I know the original Frank and his other franchised restaurants opened by his nephew Sam Mancino. After being out of the business for awhile he opened another in downtown Three Rivers Piasano's. Frankie's new owner did not take care of this establishment. It smelled of smoke, grease and other remnants from a restaurant that was... More

For years Franky's was a very popular restaurant especially for the "lake" crowd that flooded the place on weekends. They had a small but nice salad bar and exceptionally good service and excellent Italian food and pizza. Unfortunately over the course of several owner changes this restaurant has steadily gone "down hill." Recently (June 2012) the interior had a make-over... More
