We went before Labor Day and enjoyed deep fried perch and walleye outside near Lake Michigan. We went back with friends on September 9th and they were CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. What??? Kind of early to close up shop. We were disappointed.

We stayed in Ludington 10days, just down the block from Bortell's. We bought fried and fresh fish 5 times. It was always wonderful. It is well worth a trip. this is not really a restaurant. There are picnic tables where many people eat. Also, the fish is only available fried, smoked or raw. Enjoy.
