Nice place in downtown Grand Haven with interesting choices on tap. One of the few bars open late after Labor Day. Had a couple tv screens with games on.
We were on a family road trip/vacation. My wife went to college near here so she wanted to show me around. After a full day of beach, touring around, and seeing the sites we were hungry. After looking at the menu at Rosebud we said this is it. My wife, special needs daughter and granddaughter enjoyed a good meal. The... More
No crowd, so we got seated right away. Things slowed down a bit from there. We got our food (which was decent, not great). The pizza was "runny," the pasta was decent. There wasn't much in the way of "kids meals." When the food came, we had no silverware, which we pointed out to two different servers. It took a... More
The atmosphere was not bad. Our waitress was struggling with the new menu. The food was average, not great. Our orders were very simple with hardley anything special. They came to the table all wrong. We wont be back
I had never been to the Rosebud so my friend and I went there one evening after shopping. We were seated next to the front door and people entering nearly tripped over us. The waitress was borderline rude and the food was just average.
First observations walking in: Trash on the floor, old rickety tables and chairs, dated 1980 style art on the walls, and a beautiful old bar. The bar itself looks like a rose growing in a dump. My guess is that it may be original and around 100 years old. That said, after reading reviews I decided to order something simple... More
Dear Customer, I remember you well. You and your wife had a tiny baby on a hot (90's) busy day in Grand Haven. When you came in I had stopped seating anyone to allow the staff to catch up but I took mercy on you knowing how hot it was outside. You certainly appreciated the air-conditioning for along time. Any... More
It was ok. Struggling with a new menu and orders were not right. But the service was decent. But we were there in their prime time and it seemed hinky?? Probably wouldn't go back.
Thank you for trying us. Hope you enjoyed your stay. More
15 minutes for waitress to take drink order. Another 40 + minutes to get food - probably would still be there if we hadn't asked. 100% of the tables on the patio were vocal about similar problems - not getting food, the wrong food, cold food, long waits for food. Brought appetizer with the entree. Food was cold and tasteless.... More

In dining around the country for the past 50 years, I have never experienced worse service than at the Rose Bud. My daughter called weeks ahead to book her birthday dinner for 14 people on July 4th. The manager assured her they could easily handle this size group even though it was a holiday. They set 2 tables up on... More
When you walked in, I had your tables ready and seated you immediately. Because your group had three families and wanted to order at three different times, it made for a chaotic situation. Orders are prepared in the order that they are received and therefore, cannot be served at the same time. As a customer you should know that coming... More
A bar/restaurant with a victorian flair. We were surprised that it wasn't packed full like the other "trendy" joints downtown on a Saturday night. That alone made us a little aprehensive about what would be delivered to our table. We shouldn't have worried. Hubby ordered a surf and turn plate, I ordered a Sirloin with mashed and veggies. The meat... More
