A 25 minute wait after our reservation time.Had asked forn a quiet table but the noise level was So loud could not hear the waittress or each other.Food was very average with little to make one think they had been in a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Waitress was very average and Seemed intent on turning the table fast. All... More

Went on a very busy Saturday afternoon for early Mother's Day & Birthday celebration with parents. Big Graduation Day in town on top of Mother's Day. Most Saturday afternoons, if we go for early dinner we head to Legal Seafood in Framingham, but had not been happy the last visit so we choose to go the other direction. Waitstaff was... More

Most of the menu is fish, well prepared and in ample amounts, but there are some non-fish items, too, such as vegetarian pasta and burgers. We went for lunch and found that the entrees were as large and filling as you would expect at dinner. Our meals started with good iced tea (not tannic) and warm rolls with a crispy... More

The prices are a tad high, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a fantastic meal this is the place to go. Service is superb. We are frequent diners here.

Had lunch here with coworkers recently and was again surprised that people rave about this restaurant. I've eaten here a few times, and tried different options. Nothing has been bad, but nothing has been impressive either - especially considering the price. The decor is slightly dark and dated and the seating is cramped. The waitstaff are friendly enough, though seem... More

Lunch at the Sole Proprietor reminded me of fine restaurants I visited years ago when I lived in the Boston area. My broiled scallops were the best I have had in years. The attentiveness of the wait staff was exceptional. The atmosphere, decor, service, and food combined to make this more than just a meal at a restaurant. It made... More

The Sole Proprietor deserves it's reputation for great seafood. Worcester is an hour's drive (or more) from the coast, but the fish at Sole Proprietor is fresh and always excellent! I had the King Salmon special, which was awesome ... perfectly cooked and very tasty. The calamari appetizer (they call it "fried squid") is tender and delicious. Service was very... More
