After a day at the horse neck beach, stopped at this restaurant for a light bite. Lobster roll, slaw and red potatoes. Also tried eggplant fries. The sandwich was pricey $18.99 and ok, but wasn't a good value. Sat outside and was enjoyable.

We drove down to the Westport area from Boston to do a day ride (40 or 50 miles). The day was a 10/10 and the routes down there are great - flat, minimal traffic, and a lot to look at along the way. AFter putting the bikes back in the car we headed for the Bayside. Snagged a chair on...

I talk to family & friends in area. They just laugh. Good for them - they enjoy. I'm 3,000+ miles away. Lobster roll - here I come! Only do seafood platter if you can handle massive food served. My sister did that. Three of us ate and she took home.
Best is their specializing. I took a native - they...

I went here for lunch on my own after taking some photos of the area. You can see the ocean across the street from most tables. I had local scallops that were really great. Side dishes were ok. I also had Indian pudding for dessert which was homemade and good. If you go for breakfast, they can be busy so...

The area around the restaurant is lovely-- great for bike riding, walking. Audubon Sanctuary and beaches nearby. Kind of old fashioned, comfort food,
Great food, great character, amazing views ... this little restaurant is within a good golf ball hit of the ocean and right across from an Audubon reservation. It has a small, but inventive menu that features lots of local ingredients and drinks.
My husband and I decided not to have plans for dinner on the night of our 25th anniversary. Still crazy after all these years! But we had treated ourselves to a trip to the seaside in Westport, Ma. for a couple of days. We did not tell anyone of our anniversary. The Bayside hostess-server person amazingly gave us a bay...

Westport does't have a lot of choices for food but the Bayside was awful unless of course you want overly fried fish. I ordered a Rueben sandwich. There was ONE very thin slice of meat on the sandwich and very bitter cole slaw - all for $11, They charged $7 for an order of soogy sweet potatos fries.
The view...

I was looking forward to enjoying a nice lunch after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. The food was very average. We both ordered the fish, and my husband said his fish did not have any seasoning on it and the hand cut fries were bland, although, they were crisp.
I ordered the fish sandwich, and instead...

I love everything about this place, from the stiff cocktails to the furry patio umbrellas. But especially the lobster roll! A huge pile of big chunks of sweet, unadorned lobster (they bring your choice of mayo or butter on the side). The eggplant fries pretty much kick butt too, as do the pies. I can't wait to go again. A...
