Made a reservation and received a verbal confirmation. Drove forty five minutes from NH. Due to traffic arrived 12 minutes late. Watched the host stand by his post for three minutes without acknowledging us. Then when he asked us our name, told us he gave our table away. He said they had a fifteen minute rule. Once he realized he... More

When we are alone, we rarely make restaurant reservations, preferring to let the last minute cravings motivate us. Thus, driving slowly through Newburyport, we passed the Enzo Restaurant and Bar, which we had never eaten at. When we entered, they told us there was an hour wait, but there were seats at the bar. My husband really loves eating at... More

I've been twice since they opened, both times the service was so bad that my fellow dinner guests and I were wondering if we were the butt of some unspoken joke. There were a couple very nice dishes on the menu that I liked. They did an absolutely wonderful job with the interior renovation, one of the nicer restaurant spaces... More

with SEVERAL visible open tables, my husband and I tried to get in to eat there. The people at the desk were rude and said they were full. We went across the street to eat, where we could visibly see the restaurant and guess what? After two hours, they STILL had open seats.

There are a lot of pros about Enzo's... Easy parking at the Tannery and a relatively small menu were the two initial factors that made us choose it for a relaxing dinner. The atmosphere is very pleasant, clean lines and candle light. The service friendly and certainly our server (Vanessa) was great. The wine list is not extensive and it... More

My wife and I have gone to Boston's North Shore for years. Newburyport is a seriously beautiful eighteenth century, unspoiled town forty-five minutes north of Boston and ENZO is certainly one of the best restaurants there, or anywhere. The menu is very imaginative and delicious. It's basically Northern Italian fare and we'd recommend small portions of a number of servings... More

Was not happy, food was fine, but its so small and there wasnt an atmosphere. Didnt have basic martinis.. we almost left but decided to sta y and try the food. Crazy prices for what I would consider do it yourself basics. Also seemed earth friendly by providing filtered water v's bottled however they print menus daily and also use... More

Really is the best, great atmosphere, drinks, food. Can't go wrong. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I think the food is better than Ceia in Newburyport. Really the only good restaurants in newburyport are Enzo, Loretta's, Black Cow and perhaps Oregeno's.

As a residents of Cape Ann, Newburyport is generally not our first choice for dining...not because it lacks an array of fine restaurants, but because it takes the same time to get to Boston where the restaurant scene is truly exciting. However, after having read recent reviews, friends and I decided not to be so parochial. Several weeks ago, I... More

We went back to Enzo after enjoying it a lot last year. Lots the same and a few new touches. We had the freeform lasagna again and I hope they never take it off the menu. Home made noodles, ricotta, absolutely perfect sauce and some hot Italian sausage. We also had a lobster stew special that was great and a... More
