We went for dinneer on a night when a wedding reception took up the whole front room, So. Limited menu, eclectic, on the expensive side. Funky. Probably won't go back because it was not our favorite, but one can see its possiblities...so give it a try. On the grounds of the playhouse.

As Cape Cod year-rounders, we're always trying new restaurants. We were attracted to Summer Stock due to its location (part of the famous Cape Playhouse "campus" in the heart of Dennis Village), plus their online menu offered some interesting dishes. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and planned a leisurely evening, so we arrived a bit prior to our reservation... More

We had a delicious meal for our last night on Cape Cod. We started with the green bean salad with goat cheese and candied pecans, nice change from your ordinary salad. I had the swordfish with grilled shrimp, which was a great recommendation from our waiter, my friend had the Cajun salmon and said it was delicious. We finished off our meal with... More

We have had surprisingly good meals in the restaurant and at the bar, and will return again. The restaurant suffers from a boxy and un-atmospheric layout, basically a big barn-like room. Nevertheless, the martinis are excellent and food is very tasty and well-prepared, and priced right. Eating at the bar gives you a better space and ambience, food is equally... More

For some reason, our friends who have a place at the cape really love this place. We visited the cape for the July 4th holiday weekend and let our friends choose the restaurant. Turns out that they had taken us here once before a number of years ago. This time around I ordered the roasted squash lasagna for $18...big mistake.... More

Nice restaurant bit sparsely decorated (like a summer stock theater) has a cool laid back feel. My wife and I had the wilted spinach salad which was outstanding. For the main course I had the swordfish which was very good and my wife raved about her filet. For dinner we shared the key lime pie (homemade) which was also very... More

My wife & I and another couple were at the restaurant a couple of weeks ago and the service and food was superb. I had the swordfish, which was exquisite. I notice that another visitor had a dreadful experience, but ours was way above par.

Our young waiter was enthusiastic and attentive. The drinks were POWERFUL and tasty. One of our dishes (the Swordfish) was excellent, especially the mix of white beans & mashed potato which accompanied the fish; the salmon was also very good, but maybe a shade less distinctive. If you're going to the movies or Cape Cod Museum next door, this is... More

This is the perfect stop after a play at the Cape Playhouse or a film at Cape Cinema. The bar has a lively but chill kind of vibe. I adore the PEI mussels with roasted garlic fresh chilies, lemon and fresh herbs with hot parmesan crostini. I'd ask for the crustini dry next time as it was slightly too buttery... More
