With anywhere from 80 to 100 wines by the glass and approximately 325 bottle listed, we cater to the novice wine lover and to the experienced. We start with a bottle of wine and pick out the characteristics and nuances of the wine and then award winning Chef Jeffrey Heineman creates a menu item to highlight the flavors of the wine. So come in and relax, have a taste or a glass of wine and try something on our ever-changing menu.

11 of us ate here and had a thoroughly good time. The highlight was half price wine, which meant we could drink twice as much! We started off with a few starters to share. The calamari was fantastic and accompanied by warm bread with olive oil and tomato: yummy. I had the scallops for the main, which were delicious. It... More

This was our 2d time at Grapeseed, and although the first time was probably over a year ago, we've definitely wanted to go back. Parking in Bethesda, though, is a disincentive. This time we sprang for the valet parking. As for the food, it was first rate. My wife got the fricassee mushrooms to start and the pan seared scallops,... More

This was, perhaps, our best meal in years. The menu is extensive, and adventurous. The wine pairings are perfect, and if you buy by the bottle you can take the remainder of your bottle home (new Maryland law). Servers were extremely knowledgeable. Our best meal out in years, literally. We'll be back!

We have been to Grapeseed many times and really like the place. Unfortunately tonight we had Toby wait on us. We had to put up with a nasty attitude all night. I had the short ribs and they were great. Our friends had the salmon and a filet. The filet was not cooked correctly. Toby’s response was “no one is... More

Last night went to Grapeseed with the same Groupon deal mentioned below (3 courses, bottle of wine valued up to 40.00). Unlike the reviewer's below, our experience was more than outstanding and excellent value; quite frankly, I'm stumped by the review below. As an aside, also don't understand the statement that the CEO was fired. The chef/owner and GM are... More

My meal at this restaurant far exceeded my expectations. The food was simply excellent and the service matched. I would have given it an excellent rating but the price did seem over the top - about $230 for dinner for two with one person experiencing wine pairings. We won't be able to back anytime soon, but it was wonderful.

We attended a wine tasting for six wines by Siegfried of New Zealand. What was done so well by the restraunt was matching the food with the wines and making the food protions small enough so that people did not leaved feeling they had eaten too much.

I am struggling to understand how this restaurant has the current rating that it has. It is merely "average" at best. Went last evening w/a friend who had a "Groupon-coupon" for a $90.00 for two - 3 course meal inclusive of wine. The Groupon "deal" indicated that the wine selection choices were those that were fully available on the wine... More

Went the weekend after Valentines Day. Had a wonderful meal. I loved the korean beef appetizer but my wife thought it was too spicy. The scallops were amazing and greek yogurt "cheesecake" was excellent.

I hosted a business dinner and wasn't sure how it would go over, but it was only about half full on a Tuesday and we had good seats by the front window. The best part was the mussels. I have never had such big, tender mussels and so many I was able to share with the whole table. They were... More
