My boyfriend and I got a recommendation for Tony's from our cab driver on a recent trip to Portland and we were not disappointed! The donuts were delicious (though the cake donuts were a little heavy). The maple cream was AMAZING! We went on Sunday morning and sat in the shop while we ate--we were the youngest people there by... More

Great donuts; Molasses donuts are amazing. Also the blueberry. Oh, and the pumpkin (or some fall flavor like that) And great "Maine" service... No bells, no whistles. Always good (and 4000 times better than Dunkin Donuts)

It is a bit of a hole in the wall, but the donuts are out of this world. Best for take out; get a dozen. All the standard varieties plus an ever-changing array of new flavors. Try blueberry, or mollasses or red velvet. I love the cocconut covered chocolate.

We stayed at a hotel across from Tony's and read a little about it online before going. The line was out the door, which is always a good sign, but it moved quickly. There are any assortment of donuts, muffins, turnovers and pastries, as well as beverages. The inside is a little run down, but the food is great. The... More

Every other Friday morning the principal of our school buys us all donuts from Tony's. On that Friday the teachers' room is the first place we hit. A very nice treat!

Cream horns, pastry puffs, crullers, the list goes on. The donuts are hand cut and made so tasty they are impossible to resist! Prices are decent too! Always packed in the morning with the regulars, but I usually grab and go.

Hands down the BEST bakery in the Portland area. There is a reason a lot of convenience stores/restaurants sell their baked goods! They've been around forever and have mastered the art of sweet treats!

Just off Outer Congress St, only open until 2pm. Gotta try the molasses, heavenly! Large and fresh. Not a huge selection each day, but the basics are covered.
