We wanted a place we could walk to from our inn and after talking to our hosts decided on Caiola's. It is a small restaurant and after calling found out they didn't have any tables for the night. However we were told we could come and try to sit at the bar which we did. This was perfect. You can... More

I have had several excellent dinners and one excellent brunch at Caiola's over the past couple of years. However, brunch on Mother's Day was absolutely horrible. While the server was pleasant, the service was horrible. It took over an hour to get all our food - 3 of us got our food in 45 minutes, and the other 2 not... More

Had a lovely, intimate evening at this hidden gem of a restaurant. Our server was very professional and gave us time and attention. We particularly enjoyed the Polenta "fries" appetizer as well as the potato cream soup. The salads were wonderful - especially the arugula and stone fruit one and the beet/goat cheese salad. The entrees didn't disappoint - pork... More

I am so glad I ate dinner here while in town! Firstly, their free bread and cheese spread was so good!!! The waitress actually gave me 2 lots since I ate all of the first...it was so good!! I had a cannelloni dish which was just amazing! Every single bite and desert was something chocolate (can't remember the name) but... More

We had the most amazing time, one of favourite meals of all time and we consider ourselves foodies. Starters were polenta fries, beetroot salad with goats cheese and peanut. Quite simply out of this world. Entrees were Chicken Marsala and homemade canneloni stuffed with pepper, ricotta and spinach. Both dishes were sublime. The chicken marsala sauce is without doubt one... More

I have been serveral times and always have a great time. The food is flawless!!!! It continues to amaze me that she can put out so many different dishes and each and everyone is perfectly prepared, seasoned and accompanied. Service is excellent, well informed and timed. You do not feel rushed. It is a cozy atmosphere and a lovely old... More

Perhaps I hit it on a rare off night, but I see nothing of accuracy in the majority of the positive reviews here on TripAdvisor regarding Caiola's. The tables looked like they came from a rummage sale (rustic? generous term); they had NO BREAD and offered no substitute; and the meals were not even close to Italian portions - very... More

Had dinner by myself at the bar on a rainy, gray evening in March. Friendly staff, nice bartender, prompt service and great food. I'd highly recommend this restaurant if you want a casual but very nice place for dinner.

At the recommendation of The Inn at Carelton B&B (a fantastic place to stay), my wife and I had dinner at Caiola's. The menu is short, but they offered a good variety. I was amazed by the size of the meal. We loved our meals and that the prices were closer to a standard run-of-the-mill restaurant, but the meals were... More
