Do you love Food Network? Cooking channel? Are you a foodie? If you answered yes to any of these...you must try Duckfat! This tiny little restaurant packs a ton of flavor into every meal. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to accomodate my son's food allergy and were happy to do so. We ordered the fries with... More

This place has been on my bucket list ever since I saw the owner on Chopped. It's not often that a restaurant exceeds my expectations, but this place certainly did. I was thrilled we were able to have dinner here on the last night of our all-too-brief trip through Maine. The restaurant is tiny; service efficient, yet friendly. Given the... More

Clean and welcoming atmosphere. I had the PB+J sandwich with blueberry jam. It was my first grilled PB+J, deliciously crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. The duck fat fries were out of this world, perfectly seasoned and fried. My fiancé and I still had a little room so we ordered the cinnamon sugar doughnut holes.... More

1st time visiting portland and I can't pass up a chance with duck fat, never mind pass on an eatery named as such. The atmosphere was just perfect for my girlfriend and I to enjoy a mellow dinner on a Monday evening ... Beer was tasty, specialty soda was great, the paninis, (duck confit and BGT --bacon goat cheese and... More

A must stop when in Portland. Excellent food and drink. Not my favorite to eat in because of the small dining area, but worth it!

After seeing their chefs do so well on "Chopped" we decided to give their restaurant a try for lunch on a recent visit to the area. We were certainly not disappointed, The french fries were out of this world and the dipping sauces unique and very tasty. The toasted sandwiches are unique and we were four people, we had four... Never had a better french fry or a larger variety of delicious creative dipping sauces. A must - try for everyone, get more than one sauce. Its definitely worth trying them all. Your dollar does not go far here but the quality of the food is well worth it. Get a sandwich and fries and you will not leave hungry.... More

When searching for a place to eat in Portland, this is one of the more interesting places in the affordable range (think $$ instead of $$$). Two of the other places in that range were pizza, albeit upscale pizza places. I was looking for some place different without paying an arm and a leg. I had the corned beef tongue... More

Wonderful little place with stool seating at counters or tall table. Great soups, paninis, salads, milk shakes. Crowded but has a pleasant throb with mostly young professional types. Smart, young wait staff. Only been there for lunch and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Healthy choices on a compact menu but fun variety! Eclectic atmosphere with attentive and smart waitstaff, for those looking for food adventure plus the.best fries ever! Convenient to get to from airport to avoid fast food on interstate.
