While staying at The Augustus Bove House in Naples (see review) we were told that Marced's was excellent. It would not last a season in Boston or New York. My wife's spare ribs were fatty and not very tasty. My stuffed shrimp were large enough, but were stuffed mainly with bread. I will say the fries and green beans with... More

the splattered chefs coat on the chief chef was a bit of a turnoff. I am a messy cook and I know Frank really is a chef and. I appreciated meeting with him. That is sooo rare these days to meet with the person that cooks for you and have a dialogue about flavor. And he is an EXCELLENT chef.... More

Baked stuffed shrimp were out of this world. There are 4, but they are huge and fairly priced... even in the off season. Service was fast and helpful. My family has had some minor complaints about the bartender, I have not sat at the bar to comment.

Until last night, the last time I went to Merced's was the beginning of the tourist season. We showed up and the restaurant was busy, but not out right slammed. Despite that, we were told the kitchen had put a freeze on any new orders because they were so backed up. I wanted to leave right then and there but... More

Went there during the Blue Festival and it's obvious people go there for the drinks not the food, because the food was awful. Very limited selection and very poor quality.

My swordfish was to die for and I don't order it just anywhere, its too easy to make it boring or dry it out. Awesome!

While visiting a friend in the area, she suggested this place for dinner. (Always good to go with the ‘locals’ advice.) We arrived around 5:30pm and were able to sit at one of the window tables. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. We wanted to have a drink first then order. We felt a little rushed by the waitress... More

Stopped for Sunday brunch, we were told it was 11.95 per person. Went through the buffet and loaded our plate trying some of most everything. I had taken what looked like a very hearty beef stew. I ate every thing as it was all good but the beef stew was outstanding. I went back and filled my plate with more... More

Great restaurant. Recommended by our host at The August Bove B&B. Before dinner we had a nice conversation with the chef. My wife had regular lobsters and i had (for the first time) stuffed lobsters. They were stuffed with shrimp an scallops, delicious.

The good: Nice view of active marina. Float planes coming in for landings. The downside is that the carpet is old. The tables have plastic covers and the chairs are at least 30 years old and look it. The decor could use an upgrade, rather badly. Then again, look out the window at the gorgeous views of Brandy Pond. Drinks... More
