I go to Guthries when I want to chill out, eat some local and fresh food. The coffee & desserts are excellent too!
Food is pretty tasty but the pickup/check out set up is pretty dodgy. Always better to call ahead. If they say 10 minutes, give them 15. Cute digs.
When a colleague and I headed out for lunch and she asked, "Do you mind if we go to my favorite place?" , I replied " sounds good". Being vegan , which I don't think she knew, I was just going along and figured everyone has a house salad. When we turned into a tiny place on a side street,... More
Of the two of us that went, one is vegan and one is non-vegan. Both loved Guthries!! We each ordered a burrito. They came in a good size, and were very easy to eat. They also came with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. The meal was filling and tasty! After, we ordered tea and hot chocolate (made vegan... More
Being a vegan vegetarian I wanted to check out Guthries and was not disappointed. I had a spinach salad of some kind and my son had the Kale salad...they were both tasty and filling. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual. Interesting art etc...pub tables and bistro type tables as well.Oh yea picnic tables too... More
Always in search of a decent bite to eat on our long Maine road trips. So happy to have found She Doesn't Like Guthries! Simple, fresh, delicious menu, fun and funky decor, and friendly staff. We will be back!
We had lunch yesterday and were impressed. We have been dying to try the place but it is closed on weekends. We finally found a weekday when we could try it out. The exposed brick and art work are interesting. The seating is eclectic. There was a sofa and coffee table, tall pub tables and chairs, bar stools and a... More
We picked this restaurant for lunch based upon TA reviews but it didn't quite measure up to our expectations. Service is efficient and pleasant, and the dining atmosphere is certainly interesting. But the food is not on par with other places we have visited on this trip ( and certainly not up to all the "Excellent" ratings by others). I... More
Definately seek out this cute little place. You decide and order at the counter and it's brought to you. Our lunch was very good - chicken walnut salad sandwich on yummy multi-grain bread, butternut squash soup with a fabulous salad of spinach, walnuts, cranberries, and warm sweet potato. Very good smoothies as well as beer ( or pour yourself water) The... More
I went to She Doesn't Like Guthries for the second time tonight, this time to have coffee and a bite to eat with a friend. Great little joint - comfortable and friendly, interesting but laid-back atmosphere, a lovely little selection of things to eat and drink. We shared the Kale and Black Bean salad, which was delicious. The staff were... More
