Federal Jack's has a great location overlooking the river and all the boats. The night we were there the restaurant seemed to be filled with locals, I like to eat were the locals go because it usually means the food is good.
Friendly staff, good scene and great beers. I really liked the sampler portions. Didn't eat any food though.
Great selections of outstanding beers! Now order a beer and forget the food.
Service is slow. Burgers are not cooked to how you like them and the fries,
like a limp soagy and greasy ..... So do not order the food, but the beer is
fabulous. If you want great beer and great burgers, go to Litchfields in Wells -...

If it's too cold to sit outside, don't bother. The food is mediocre at best, as is the service (the bartenders are much more attentive than the servers in the restaurant). We had a friendly greeting upon entering, asked for a seat by the window to enjoy the wonderful view of the harbor. My wife got the mussels for an app, the were delicious. I got a salad with the stuffed haddock. Good food, good service. Will definitely return, place seems like it could be a good time in the middle...

Great value, high quality food, wide selection. Unbelievable views of the harbor. Great for families.
If you like microbrews, give it a try. Don't bother eating. Our lunch was microwaved. The waitress was way behind and kept forgetting us. The chowder was not as good as canned. There better choices for food in the port.
I was entertaining a friend that had come up from Florida. He is a yacht owner and wanted to check out the local yacht clubs, etc. He thought the view from Federal Jacks was impressive, which it was. The only problem we had was that when we stated that we were only planning to enjoy some cocktails by the window....
