I'm no expert on beignets, but ALL they have here are flavorless fried donuts. The rest of the menu is "subject to availability," so in other words...not available. Even if you have a limited schedule while in New Orleans, Morning Call is a must stop. The coffee and beignets are outstanding. Cafe du Monde has a similar menu, but they pre-sugar their beignets, while Morning Call lets you do your own powdered sugar sprinkling. This is a significant difference. Prices, as they have been forever, are quite reasonable.

Heard this was the place to get beignets and they were right! Priced so cheap and just fresh,this was a fun experience. It was like going back in time and our kids just loved it! We will be returning when back in Louisiana! The atmosphere was just calm and comfy vs. the business that usually consumes people.

This place is the real deal. Few tourists are here, check out the local vibe. Better than Cafe du monde. This place is an institution.
