A favorite when we visit LSU, Chimes is so convenient to campus, has good food, fun pub-like atmosphere which is great when eating with students, and our last visit in May they were offering a wonderful selection of American Craft Beers. More

Great On-Tap selection. This is the only, other than my house, that I eat seafood. Get the alligator appitizer if you have never eaten alligator. More

Amazing food and drinks! Had the blackened alligator, hush puppies, red beans and rice, and sweet potato waffle fries and all were AWESOME! The service was very quick and professional! The number of beers on tap was VERY impressive. I would have given the place 5 stars if there were more than two choices on tap that were gluten free.... More

I thought the portions were very good and the flavor was better than what I thought it might be for a restaurant so close to LSU campus. More

You can't go wrong going to Chimes for a good and relatively inexpensive meal. All the food is very well prepared and tasty. We always get the fried alligator, marinated crab claws and hush puppies (one of THE two best in town) whenever our family goes there. To us, their crawfish etouffee is the best in town of all the... I certainly agree that this is an extraordinary restaurant, particularly for a college campus. Wish I had a place this good where I was in school. I had the Louisiana BBQ shrimp. The roux-based sauce is worth the trip to Baton Rouge, even if there isn't a football game. More

I went to The Chimes on a Friday night, probably not the best idea. A friend and I got a drink while we waited for our table. We were told it would be about 45-50 minutes, but ended up being more like 20-25 minutes. We were seated next to the bar instead of the dining room. We got the blackened... More
