A favorite when we visit LSU, Chimes is so convenient to campus, has good food, fun pub-like atmosphere which is great when eating with students, and our last visit in May they were offering a wonderful selection of American Craft Beers.

Great On-Tap selection. This is the only, other than my house, that I eat seafood. Get the alligator appitizer if you have never eaten alligator.

located near LSU and the Lod Cooke Center. Service was very good. Pastries and coffee will satisy your morning or afternoon break needs.

I certainly agree that this is an extraordinary restaurant, particularly for a college campus. Wish I had a place this good where I was in school. I had the Louisiana BBQ shrimp. The roux-based sauce is worth the trip to Baton Rouge, even if there isn't a football game.

I went to The Chimes on a Friday night, probably not the best idea. A friend and I got a drink while we waited for our table. We were told it would be about 45-50 minutes, but ended up being more like 20-25 minutes. We were seated next to the bar instead of the dining room. We got the blackened...
